The Data Tale line consists of sleek, heat resistant 2.5” and 3.5” HDD enclosures that can provide up to four connection interfaces depending on the unit you choose: USB 2.0, FireWire 400, FireWire 800 and eSATA. So no matter what type of interface your computer uses, Data Tale offers an enclosure for your HDD that can easily be connected to your computer or laptop. With its Plug-n-Play design, you do not need IT experience or any software installation to use it. Users can choose to install their own drives into Data Tale enclosures or purchase a Data Tale enclosure already equipped with a 320 GB hard disk drive.

The cases are extremely durable and feature a Hot Swap design for easy access to the drives so you can change the HDD as often as you like without worrying about damaging it. The cases also feature an LED light to indicate status of power and data access. They also come equipped with an HDD spin down function so when the host system, your laptop or desktop, is in sleep mode, the hard disk spins down reducing power consumption, and spins up automatically when the host system wakes up.

The Data Tale line of portable enclosures are available in four models:

- Mobile 2.5” HDD enclosure with USB 2.0, FireWire 400, and FireWire 800 interfaces and casing offered in red, black and white.
- Portable 2.5” HDD enclosure with USB 2.0 and eSATA combo interface,
- Portable 2.5” HDD enclosure with USB 2.0, eSATA, 1394a and 1394b interfaces, aluminum housing and open back design.. Also comes with patented SmartGuider design to simplify HDD installation, enable trayless HDD positioning, and allow effortless HDD replacement. Compatible with Data Tale RAID systems.

Prices start at $50 for the enclosures, and $180 for an enclosure already equipped with a 320 GB drive.
