Royal Philips Electronics announced the launch of the new Digital Pocket Memo 9370 for mobile dictation, designed to make the transition from analog to digital dictation fast and easy. The Digital Pocket Memo 9370 is based on the Digital Pocket Memo 9600 but with several feature and design differences – and a lower price point. The new 9370 is targeted for general business use, the insurance industry, municipalities, and local governments. The 9370 also features a ‘file altercation protection’ feature for police and law enforcement agencies. The Digital Pocket Memo 9370 also includes SpeechExec Dictate software, representing a comprehensive package that makes it easy for all users to be productive instantly with digital recording.
The Digital Pocket Memo 9370 represents a new generation of digital recorders and dictation software that deliver a new level of simplicity. Voice files are recorded onto an exchangeable SD card and emailed or downloaded via USB to a PC for transcription. The 9370 is very simple to operate, yet has the features that every professional author needs. Recording functions are controlled with a professional push-button system, and "smart buttons" facilitate intuitive on-screen menu selections.
The Digital Pocket memo 9370’s backlit LCD provides an instant job status overview for control and navigation. The all-inclusive package includes a 256 MB SD card, a travel pouch, alkaline batteries, a USB cable as well as the SpeechExec Dictate software.
SpeechExec Dictate is the dictation software with settings that can be configured individually to suit the needs of every author. It allows users to track work in progress, while urgent jobs can be given priority status for faster transcription. Thomas Brauner, CEO of Philips Speech Processing, said, “Philips provides dictation solutions tailored to the different needs of professionals. With the Digital Pocket Memo 9370, we have created a package that combines advanced technology, easy-to-use software and accessories, representing a powerful case for switching from analog to digital dictation – right now.”
Following in the footsteps of Philips’ EcoVision action program and the EcoDesign process for product development, the Digital Pocket Memo 9370 is another of the company’s environmentally-sound products. The Digital Pocket Memo 9370 contains no hazardous substances and its efficient use of battery power reduces energy consumption by up to 30%, ensuring increased recording time.
The Digital Pocket Memo 9370 complements a comprehensive line-up of products and solutions from Philips Speech Processing that give dictation users both freedom and independence for every working style.
