ASUS captivates tech-enthusiasts at Power User Conference
ASUS, a global leader in the new digital era, organized an exclusive Power User Conference at Hyatt Regency Mumbai on July 16, 2011. Top power users were invited from all across the country to interact with Mr. Jack Cheng, Motherboard Specialist, ASUS R&D, Taiwan and ASUS India team. Jack was the chief guest of the event who addressed the crowd and interacted with them on the latest products and innovations from ASUS.
The conference aimed to educate the power users on recent technological innovations offered by ASUS’ latest Z68 motherboards, ROG and TUF Series motherboards. During the presentation, Jack spoke extensively on topics like ASUS Dual Intelligent Processors with Digi+VRM digital power design, ROG Thunderbolt card design, military-standard tested TUF components and Sabertooth series motherboards. He also illustrated ASUS exclusive innovations like ROG Connect with GPU TweakIt, MemTweakIt, UEFI BIOS (EZ Mode) with a Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard based machine.
Pleased with the presence and participation of the power users, Mr. Vinay Shetty – Country Head, Component Business, ASUS (India) said, “It was a great experience to conduct this conference. This initiative brought intelligent minds together at one platform and allowed them to impart their knowledge with others. The success of this event gives us immense pleasure to share that we would like to hold such meets from time to time to keep them abreast with the latest updates in the technology segment.”
A good part of this day-long event was dedicated to live extreme overclocking demos using LN2 (liquid Nitrogen) cooling. Usually practiced by enthusiasts, overclocking is done to attain levels of performance beyond the values specified by the hardware manufacturer. This gave the attendees a great opportunity to witness overclocking using extreme cooling first hand.
ASUS had high-end machines powered by ASUS’ P8Z68-V PRO and ASUS Rampage III Extreme motherboards for demonstration. These machines were used to demonstrate universal switchable graphics using LucidLogixVirtu GPU virtualization technology in ASUS Z68 motherboards and Crysis 2 in 3D respectively. Also, all key components of the Rampage III Extreme based gaming machine were water-cooled using a very high-end custom water cooling set up. Apart from this, users had close access to a plethora of ASUS products on display.
Around 50 power users attended the event which was strictly by invite only. These enthusiasts comprised primarily of engineering students, IT professionals who vigorously pursue overclocking/gaming/modding as a hobby. They were overjoyed at being a part of this event and appreciated this exclusive conference, first of its kind in India.
