Sharp introduces twelve new laser multi-function devices

Sharp Business Systems (India) Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, Japan has made announcement of launching in Indian Market a host of Color & Monochrome Laser Multifunction Devices that will provide more options for the customer in the Digital Multifunction Devices (MFD’s) with new capabilities for them as well as opportunities for business growth.

All twelve MFD’s launched by SHARP takes environment into consideration with features that reduce energy consumptions (Preheat & Auto Power Shutoff, Cost Efficient Toner Save Mode) with additional benefits of cost savings and minimal TCO.

The new range starts at A4, Duplex Monochrome MFD upto A3 Color MFD with the highest level of Document Security. “SHARP new line of products has been developed on characteristics such as reliability,durability & productivity to meet the growing needs of corporate world forits various day-to-day operations. Sharp MFD’s are the optimum business devices due to their innovative, cost-saving and environment-friendly features which differentiates them from our competitors” said Mr.Sunil Sinha, Managing Director, Sharp Business Systems (India) Limited.

The A4 Series starts with a Network capable Multifunction Performer in a compact design. The most unique offeringis the Legal size Platen Glass and unbelievable cost per copy and very low TCO with Speedy copying and printing functions, including duplexing, and vivid colour scanning deliver high-quality images, while Sharpdesk software makes the integrated desktop management of documents part of this compact package. For added efficiency and function, the AR-M201 can be teamed up with options like the Fax Expansion Kit.

Sharp’s award-winning line of A3 MFPs has given rise to the MX-C310— full-colour A4 MFD’s quite unlike conventional A4 models available in India currently. While still boasting the impressive speedof 31 ppm in BW as well as colour, superb image quality (1200 x 1200 dpi), multilayered security, and unsurpassed ease of use found in Sharp’s A3 MFPs, these new-concept solutions take A4 MFP performance to a higher plane of excellence.

The MX-C310, built for IT-centric use, boasts a 4.3-inch color LCD with super-speedy scanning and the control and convenience of Sharp OSA (Open Systems Architecture) that paves the way for third party software developers to create customized applications for office specific control & convenience.

The A3 series of 5516/5520MFD’s are Sharp’s high performance printer (16 & 20 ppm) that incorporates Sharp Printer Language with Compression (SPLC) technology. SPLC effectively reduces the data size of print jobs, speeding up the transfer of data and the printing process while improving overall throughput. Another time saving function RIP Once/Print Many (ROPM) saves print data in the machine’s internal memory and transfers it to output at a very fast rate.

Leading the bunch are the MX-2600N & MX-3100N series sporting an impressive array of original, cutting edge technologies in compact frame and a new design, the MX-2600N/3100Nall-in-one colour MFD from SHARP offers outstanding speed (upto 31 ppm forColor & B/W), print quality (1200 x 1200 dpi) and data protection.

Environment Friendly:

Sharp’s Environmentally conscious suppliestakes ecological performance to a whole new level. Mycrostoner-HG offers asignificantly lower consumption rate than conventional toner, while the longer life photoconductor delivers higher performance than others. With a standby power consumption of even less than 1Watt* the Color MFD series leads the Industry in energy savings for Colour MFD’s.

Conforming to the Energy Star program, an international system identifying energy efficient products, the new models launched by SHARP has two levels of energy-saving modes to reduce or shut off electricity after a period of inactivity. And to further cut back on the running costs, by pressing the manual energy save key after a job is finished. In support of the RoHS directive, which restricts the use of hazardous substances, Sharp has fully eliminated harmful lead and chromium in all parts and materials.

Sharpdesk for Total Document Management:

Sharpdesk is an original Sharp application that provides integrated desktop management of documents in over 200 file formats, including scanned paper based documents and those created with popular applications such as Word. It allows you to organize, edit, search and distribute your documents, all with simple drag and drop operation.

Security:

Sharp’s Digital Photocopiers/Printers or MFD’s can retain hundreds of pages of confidential information from previous jobs on their HDD or Internal Memory. To safeguard this information from unauthorized access, the optional Data Security Kit (DSK) automatically encrypts and erases the data after each job is complete. To prevent unauthorized viewing of confidential image data, the Color MFD’s enable users to password protect and encrypt PDF data. Document Control prevents unauthorized copying, scanning, faxing & filing of confidential documents. The IP/MAC address filtering function provides highly secure operation by restricting access to the MFD’s on your office Network. Only PC’s that have their IP or MAC address registered are allowed to use the MFD’s.

Other features like the Secure Socket Layers(SSL), which prevents data leakage on the Network, various levels of User Authentication and IPv6 and IPsec Support, makes the Sharp Digital MFD’s a winner in its category.

The newly launched high-end Sharp MFD’s allow for easy programming of settings for the System Administrator to manage multiple devices from a single location. The result is minimum time & effort with maximum work efficiency. With the Web based system settings Administrator can restrict machine access and usage. Easily manage overall running costs by setting access rules to limit or restrict printing and copying of large volume color documents. With Remote Operation function, the same control panel screen of MFD can be displayed on the screen of a remote PC allowing MFD to be operated via the PC.
