VSNL is ‘Best Pan-Asian Wholesale Provider’
Nov 15th, 2007 | By Editor | Category: EnterpriseVSNL, a leading communications solutions provider, was awarded the ‘Best Pan-Asian Wholesale Provider’ award at the 5th annual Capacity Magazine Global Wholesale Telecommunications Awards yesterday evening, The awards, which were held at Capacity Europe in Amsterdam, recognize significant players key market players who, through applying innovation and successful techniques and strategies to their wholesale businesses, have established themselves as leaders in the global wholesale telecoms industry. This is the second consecutive year VSNL has been the recipient of this Capacity Magazine award.

The panel of judges included Capacity Magazine’s senior editorial staff including Mark Kemp, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, and Eira Hayward, Editor, as well as select senior industry analysts including Camille Mendler, Vice President, International Telecommunications Strategies, Yankee Group, Dr. Judy Reed Smith, Founder & CEO, ATLANTIC-ACM, and Jawad Abassi, of Arab Advisors Group. VSNL was chosen among an impressive list of leading global competitors as the recipient of this award.

Earlier this month VSNL announced the company has started building a $200 Million Intra-Asia Cable system linking Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan as part of major expansion initiative. The intra-Asia cable, when combined with the TGN-Pacific cable system will complete VSNL’s multi-Terabit capability from India to Asia and onward to the US. The company also launched VSNL’s Dedicated Global Ethernet service, to the Australian market earlier this year.
