Philips Moving Surround Sound: (Exclusive feature of the MCD 988)
MCD 988 is the world’s first wall-mountable Micro Theatre with Moving Surround Sound with Dolby Virtual Speakers that glide out from each speaker unit in order to transmit superb sound from an optimal position. The system does not only provide an optimal surround sound experience but also allows consumers to ‘visualize’ this experience.
Plays DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG Digital Camera Photos
Multi-format playability allows users to play most file formats for maximum listening and viewing pleasure, including MP3, WMA, JPEG and the popular DivX digital media format.
Class D Amplifier
The class ‘D’ digital amplifier takes an analog signal, converts it into a digital signal and then amplifies the signal digitally. The amplified digital output delivers all the advantages of digital audio, including improved sound quality. In addition, the class ‘D’ digital amplifier has greater than 90% efficiency compared to traditional AB amplifiers. This high efficiency translates into a powerful amplifier with a small footprint.
Digital Sound Control
Digital Sound Control offers users a choice of pre-set Jazz, Rock, Pop and Classic controls you can use to optimize the frequency ranges for different musical styles. Each mode uses graphic equalizing technology to automatically adjust the sound balance and enhance the most important sound frequencies in the chosen music style. Users can also simply plug in their device to the USB port on the MicroTheatre.
Dynamic Bass Boost
Dynamic Bass Boost maximizes the music enjoyment by emphasizing the bass content of the music throughout the range of volume settings–from low to high–at the touch of a button. By activating the Loudness feature, the bass and treble will be amplified enabling users can savor a balanced sound perception overall.
Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Hence, a full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, the human eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure.
Product Availability
The Philips Wall Theatre range will be available at Rs 29,990 (MCD 988) and Rs 14,990 (MCD288) at leading outlets in India.
