Lemon Mobiles brings 3G Handsets for the Masses
Lemon Mobiles, the value for money mobile brand promoted by Fastrack Communications Pvt. Ltd. today announced to bring in affordable 3G enabled handsets for the Indian masses. The 3G handset will be in the markets by November 2010 following which the company has plans to launch the Android phone. This way Lemon Mobiles plans to add more cookies in its jar.
The phone will be named as the W100 3G phone and will be available in the price bracket of INR 3,500. While mainstream consumers now are obsessed with the megapixels available on the camera, built-in memory, FM radio etc, launch of 3G services will rope in a new host of buzzwords like ‘dual camera’, Mobile TV and video calling to the common man’s mobile.
Mr. Gopal Kalra, Director, Fastrack Communications said, “Our aim has always been to provide feature rich offerings to our customers. 3G launch is expected to create a new market segment. By bringing in 3G handsets we would provide our customers with a ubiquitous access to a host of entertainment and enterprise applications.”
Mr. Sandeep Mushran, Director, Fastrack Communications further added, “Though the 3G handset is attractively priced the acceptance amongst our customers would also highly depend on the tariffs and pricing of 3G services. Currently, we have a wide range of products which are suitable for the Indian market and with the 3G handset we want to offer robust quality without being too expensive.”
The 3G handset will be available pan India and the company would like to drive the 3G penetration across its customer base and help them feel connected. By doing so the company intends to take its customers to the next level of connectivity. Some of the features which the Lemon 3G handset will have are live TV, video calling on 3G network, browser, multimedia and dual camera.
