mBit Infotech rolls out mobile P2P(Peer to Peer) application
mBit Infotech, a pioneer in VAS Services has rolled out a new offering—a Peer to Peer (P2P) application services. mBit Infotech is the first company that is providing the Mobile P2P Services. The new application promises to enable the user to use different mobile applications like Media Sharing, Search and Download from mobile phones of the same peer. In addition, the search option in the application allows users to search for Ads, Music / Video Sharing with existing Mobile Content Store. Another important feature of the new application is that it can enable some useful applications for verticals like Mobile Office, Tourism, Education, Real Estate, Automobile, Event-based Marketing and Mobile Advertising, among others.
“Users today are highly mobile and expect to have access to information and entertainment on-the-move. An application like this will certainly enable them to downloads, upload and share– information with their peer group. This is going to be an extremely useful application for the ever increasing mobile workforce and the youth,” informed Mr. Raghavendra Aggarwala, CEO, mBit Infotech.
mBit is targeting to have a total of 7 to 10 lakh users for different applications. The company is looking at tying up with colleges and institutes and is also looking at tying up with Mobile Operators, Apple Store and Handset Manufacturers to tap the opportunities in the Corporate space. In addition, the company also bundles the applications with IMS and SIP vendors to provide a White Label Solution for Operators.
As per Cellular Operators Association of India as on August 2009 the Indian GSM subscriber base was 3, 35,452847 and approximately there were around 27 million WAP users. These numbers suggest volumes about the kind of opportunity the market offers and mBit is ready with right kind of ingredients to become a leader in the VAS industry.
