The users will now be able to pay their bills by sending a simple SMS through their mobile phones. Citigroup Venture owned YOU Telecom currently operates in 12 major cities including Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Gurgaon.

To avail this facility, the subscriber has to send an SMS “YOU MCHEK ” to 53636. The user will then get an automated call on the phone or on USSD to authorize their payment by entering their mChek PIN. Once the payment is processed and the amount is credited to the user’s YOU Telecom account, an SMS will be sent to the user confirming the transaction. The transaction is completed on mChek’s certified platform that conforms to the best safety standards including the PCI DSS 1.2. First time users will be asked to register with their credit card.
